New Wisconsin State record Whitetail - A Sweet November Surprise

Its Official!!! Wisconsin has a new state record buck! A panel of official measurers from around the state gathered to measure a tremendous whitetail harvested by Dusty Gerrits of the Waupun area. Dusty shot this record whitetail on November 6th in Fond du lac county. The 6 man panel consisted of 2 3man teams, 3 Boone & Crockett measurers( Mark Miller of Fond du lac, Stan Zirbel of Green Leaf, Pat Gauthier Suring) 1 Pope & Young measurer(Randy Marlatt of Crivitz) and 2 WBBC measurers (Marty Krumrei of Green Bay & Patrick Gauthier Jr of Suring). The 2 teams spent just over 2 hours carefully measuring every 1/8 inch of antler on this magnificent whitetail buck and came up with a final score of 189 7/8” (200 1/8 Gross). This breaks the previous record set in 2010 by Brian Inda of Waushara county by 1 6/8” making it the largest typical buck ever shot with bow and arrow in Wisconsin!
